Thanksgiving is the kickoff to the holiday season for many and is usually the start of a long weekend with friends and family. More importantly, it is a time to step back and be grateful for what you have. If you’re fortunate enough to have a place to go this year and people to spend the holiday with, then you are very lucky. We continued our annual tradition of volunteering at the annual Friends of the Poor Thanksgiving Community Program. We say it every year, but the event is impressive in so many ways. It left us as it does every year with a sense of gratitude for what we have and for organizations like Friends of the Poor who take care of those that aren’t as fortunate. As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving and the Holiday season, we’re taking the time to reflect on the year we had and the blessings that came with it. Friends of the Poor is one of many organizations we chose to get more involved in this year. We formalized our community program at Alliance and incentivized our team members to support organizations like Friends of the Poor. As we attended more events and learned more about these organizations, it was overwhelming to see the both the need in our community and the response from the organizations and the members of our community. We are very grateful that we were able to play a small part in helping these organizations and our fellow community members.

With another year is almost in the books, we are starting to plan for next year and are looking forward to building on our community involvement. We are very lucky to be able to do this and want to thank our clients and friends for your trust in us. We never take that for granted. Our involvement in the community is an easy way for us to express our gratitude and to give back. We’re humbled, grateful, and excited for what’s to come.
