Scranton Area Community Foundation Estate Planning Event
CommunityMar 24, 2026
Senior Wealth Advisor Michael Cordaro recently led a panel discussion about estate planning topics hosted by the Scranton Area Community Foundation. The goal was to make this complex topic more approachable for members of our community. Throughout the conversation, the panel discussed high-level and practical topics to cover the basics of getting started, key documents to have in place, and the importance of keeping things organized and aligned with your goals. The discussion also touched on more specific and complex topics like trusts and how recent changes to Federal laws impact planning decisions.
Proactive estate planning connects to broader financial decisions, including tax-efficient giving, inheriting assets, and ways families can think intentionally about legacy and supporting the next generation. Through partnerships like this, the Alliance Center for Investor Education always aims to work with leaders in our community to provide thoughtful and accessible resources that help people make more informed decisions to protect and grow their wealth. It was a wonderful evening, and we would like to thank the other panelists, as well as the Scranton Area Community Foundation for hosting!
